January 18th

This week's Bible story comes from Luke 2:41-49.
My first Bible tells the story like this:
When Jesus was twelve years old, He went to the city of Jerusalem for the Passover feast. When it was time to go home, Mary and Joseph couldn't see Jesus, but they thought He was traveling with others. Then Mary began to get very worried and turned back to Jerusalem to look for Jesus.
Three days later, Mary and Joseph found Him. He was in the temple courts, speaking with the teachers. Everyone was amazed. Jesus knew so much about God!
"My son!" said Mary. "We've been so worried!"
"Mother," said Jesus. "Didn't you know I would be here in My Father's house?"

Here are some of the activities planned for this week:
*Hide and seek "star search"
*Gluing pretzel sticks to create a temple for Jesus
*Painting Jesus in the temple
*Matching mittens and snowflakes
