August 31st

This week we are continuing our study of God's Creation, focusing on days 3 and 4. The following is an excerpt from our children's Bible.
Genesis 1:9-19
The Third Day
On the third day God was busy. He made puddles and oceans and lakes and waterfalls and rivers. He made the dry ground too. Next, He made plants. He made so many different kinds of trees, flowers, and bushes, that no one could count them all. God said His work was good.

The Fourth Day
On day four God put the sun in the sky to warm the earth. He saw that the night was very dark, so God put the moon and the stars in the sky. Then God Made spring, summer, fall and winter. All that He made was good.

August 26th

Bible Story: Creation Days 1and 2
Color: Blue
Number: 1
Shape: Square

Today we begin our study of God's Creation.  The following is an excerpt from our read and share children's Bible.
The First Day
Genesis 1:1-5
In the beginning God made heaven and earth. At first it was empty and dark. But God gathered up the light and called it day.
Then he gathered up the darkness and called it night. God was watching over everything.

The Second Day
Genesis 1:6-8
On day two God divided the air from the water. He put some water above the air and some below it. He named the air sky.

We thank God for all He has made for us. We are learning a song about all of the things God has made.
To the tune of Are you sleeping?

God created: God created
Night and Day: Night and Day
That was on the first day: That was on the first day.
It was good: It was good.

God created: God created
Sky and clouds: Sky and clouds
That was the second day: That was the second day.
It was good: It was good.
