September 14th

During Jesus Time this week we will be focusing on days 5 and 6 of God's Creation.  The following is an excerpt from our children's Bible.

The fifth day

Genesis 1:20-31

On day five God made starfishes, octopuses, whales, and turtles. He made fast lisle fish for tiers and slippery big fish for the ocean.He made big birds like eagles to soar in the sky and zippy little birds like hummingbirds. He made birds in all shapes, sizes, and colors.

The sixth day

On day six God made the animals--puppies, cows, horses, kitties, bears, lizards, mice, worms, and lots more. Everything was good. But something was still missing. There were no people. So God made some. And when He made them, He made them like Himself. He made them so they cold be friends with Him.

Here are a few of the activities we have planned for this week:

*Coloring birds and stamping fish on Day 5 of Creation

*Using markers on animals and people on Day 6 of Creation

*Cutting red paper strips

*Choosing our favorite apple (red, yellow, green)

*Stamping apples

*Finding red items in the rice table

*Sorting colored craft sticks by color
*Beginning work in our ABC art book

Some of our friends can hold the scissors properly to cut paper strips unassisted, others are just learning what a scissor is for and how to make it work
