October 2nd
This week we begin our study of God's faithful servant, Noah.
Genesis 6:14-16
God told Noah to build a huge wooden boat called an ark.
"Get some good strong wood to build the boat, and cover it inside and out with tar. Put a roof on the top and build rooms inside. Put a door on one side. When the flood comes you will be safe."
Noah did as God said. People watched and wondered. They even laughed at him! Why was he building a boat so far from the sea?
A Song for Noah:
Sail, Sail, Sail the Ark
There are many learning activities to go along with the story of Noah. Here are a few that are planned for this week.
*Coloring Noah and the Ark
*Matching magnet animals
*Playing hide and seek with the animals
*Tracing an octagon
*Painting fall leaves with water colors
*Cutting straws
*Learning about the letter C
*Painting C is for Cat
*Counting animals 2 by 2
Check out the fun we had today:
Placing circle stickers on
C is for Caterpillar
Placing stickers on ABC book
C is for Caterpillar
Today we enjoyed playing in the commons. Mrs. Helmkamp brought out the obstacle course for us to share with the preschoolers.
We walked up a ramp and jumped off onto a mat
We hopped like frogs on lily pads
We stretched our leg muscles and stepped over hurtle bars

Some of us needed a little help |
After the hurtles we jumped on circles and ran through hoola hoops. A big thank you to Mrs. Helmkamp for thinking of us and allowing us to join the fun in the commons.
