Jesus calms the storm
Mark 4:35-41
Jesus and His followers got into a boat and set out across the lake. Jesus was so tired that He fell asleep. Soon a strong wind began to blow. Waves came over the side of the boat. Everyone was very frightened.
They wake Jesus, "Help us, or we'll drown!"
Jesus commanded the wind and the waves to be still. The wind stopped, and there were no more waves coming into the boat. The lake became calm.

A Little Boy Helps Jesus
Great crowds of people followed Jesus to see his miracles and hear Him teach about God's love for them. The people sometimes forgot to take food with them. One day a huge crowd of 5,000 men and their families followed Jesus. It was late int he day when they reached Jesus, and the people were getting hungry.
The only one with any food was a little boy with five small loaves of bread and two fish. Jesus blessed the food. His closest followers and helpers gave it to the people. After everyone had plenty to eat, the helpers gathered up 12 baskets of leftover food.

Here are a few of the activities planned for this week:
*Introducing a new color, number and shape
*Painting purple pictures
*Stamping 8 ovals
*Exploring new folder games
*Making loaves and fishes
*Listening to Dr. Seuss books
